The Destroyer Of Weakness

Over the years, we’ve been fortunate enough to encounter many unusual yet wonderful remedies that play important roles in the world of healing and recovery.

In Bali I used to rub Paramao Oil, a natural product from a tree (and almost impossible to replicate artificially) on any muscle inflammation or joint pain.  I used it daily after “kissing the tarmac” when I rounded a bend with loose gravel and my scooter slid from under me.  Ouch!

Equally valuable was Bokasih Oil, used when I seared my calf against the scooter’s hot exhaust pipe. Bokasih Oil, made from 200 herbs and coconut oil came to the rescue, minimising the pain and the flesh wound.

I’ve written about DMSO (Dimethyl Sulfoxide), the Cinderella of natural remedies. Dr. Stanley Jacob, the energy behind its emergence was told by a pharmaceutical representative: “I don’t care if DMSO is the major drug of our century, and we all know it is, it isn’t worth it to us”.

For the past few months we’ve been testing out Pure Himalayan Shilajit for a multitude of benefits. We waited before writing about it as we would never recommend anything we haven’t tried ourselves.

The Destroyer Of Weakness

We were initially interested because of its nutrient density, a feature that’s particularly valuable in today’s nutrient-deficient food supplies.

A potent, resinous substance found in the high altitudes of the Himalayas and Siberia, Shilajit, nicknamed ‘Mountain Blood,’ has been revered for thousands of years in Ayurvedic medicine for its remarkable health benefits.

Formed over centuries by the decomposition of plants and the high mineral content of Himalayan rocks, a unique and powerful source of nutrients and bioactive compounds is created.

One of its primary benefits is its ability to boost energy and stamina. Rich in fulvic acid, it helps in the efficient absorption of minerals and nutrients, in turn leading to improved cellular function and increased energy levels.

This makes it a go-to choice for athletes and those with demanding lifestyles.

I’ve always been drawn to prevention rather than cure and I was particularly attracted to Shilajit for its cognitive benefits. Containing compounds that help prevent the breakdown of brain chemicals needed for memory and learning, regular use of Shilajit has been associated with improved focus, concentration, and overall mental clarity.

I wish I’d known about this when I took my school exams!

Shilajit is a powerful antioxidant that helps to combat oxidative stress and protect cells from damage caused by free radicals. This property is crucial for slowing the inevitable ageing process and promoting overall longevity.

Pure Himalayan Shilajit, the brand we use for its purity, supports the immune system, especially valuable in times of questionable viruses. Its rich mineral content, including zinc, magnesium, and iron, helps bolster the body’s inherent defences.

By improving gut health and nutrient absorption, Shilajit also helps the body function at an improved capacity.

Last but not least Shilajit has a reputation for improving sexual wellness. It has been traditionally used to boost libido and fertility in both men and women. The combination of increased energy levels, better nutrient absorption, and hormonal balance contributes to improved reproductive health.

Pure Himalayan Shilajit is a potent natural supplement with many health benefits. From boosting energy and cognitive function to supporting the immune system and sexual health, Shilajit stands out as a precious addition to the 21st century wellness regimen.
