Your Lymphatic System Is the Plumbing No-One Talks About

This is the system – the system – the clanking, gurgling, overlooked bit of plumbing where most of mankind’s miseries find their footings.

Drain it, clear it, give it the spa day it never asked for, and lo! The pain, the swelling, the vague and insistent malaise that modern medicine seems only to name, not fix, may simply…..stop.

You see, man has suffered – not in the grand Shakespearean sense, but in the bloated, inflamed, inexplicably itchy way – because he’s been given a botched IKEA manual for his own anatomy. Medicine, noble and precise in its theatre, is peering through the wrong keyhole.

It worships at the sticky altar of blood – counting it, testing it, drawing it with alarming cheer – but the real culprit is loitering backstage in the shadows: the lymphatic system.

Yes, lymph. That pale, shimmering, ghostly river inside us, running quieter and deeper than anything in a vein. It’s not a sexy word, lymph. It sounds like something you clear out of your throat or scrape off your shoe.

But there it is, more present in volume and reach than the blood we spill poems over, and yet, astonishingly, not a single proper course in Lymphology is taught in all the ivory towers of allopathic medicine. Not one.

Picture this: for every 200 pages in the hallowed medical tomes, there’s barely a page – barely a paragraph – whispering about the system that just might be the root of all healing. The lymphatic network is the dusty filing cabinet of the human body.

Ignore it, and you lose the plot. Understand it, and suddenly you can see how someone might recover without swallowing a single bitter pill or being sliced open like Sunday roast.

This, then, is the overlooked gospel of wellness: a system neglected not because it’s unimportant, but because it’s inconvenient. And medicine, like most institutions, prefers its truths neat, easy, and preferably with a prescription pad attached.

Lymphatic Drainage

The best way to drain the lymphatic system – if we can speak of “best” in the same breath as something so neglected, so wilfully ignored by the stethoscope-wielding establishment – is to move.

Yes, move. Not in the metaphorical sense of changing your life or relocating to Brittany, but physically. Limbs swinging, diaphragm heaving, skin sweating like a diplomat in a polygraph session. The lymphatic system, unlike your blood, doesn’t come with a pump. It is, in essence, hitchhiking its way through your body, thumbing a ride on your muscle contractions.

Rebounding – bouncing on a tiny, ridiculous trampoline like a toddler with a trust fund – is surprisingly effective. So is dry brushing, which sounds like something out of a fever dream but actually helps coax lymph to get a bloody move on. Deep breathing – actual lungfuls, not the shallow gasps we call modern respiration – also stirs the sluggish tide.

And of course, water. Gallons of it. You must become a sort of ambulatory fountain. Because nothing drains without flow. This isn’t mysticism; it’s plumbing. And the tragedy is that we’ve been marinating in our own waste for decades, because no one bothered to read the manual.

Start rebounding and you’ll be in good company. Bob Hope said, ““I keep my rebounder at the foot of my bed, and use it daily; President Ronald Reagan reportedly said, “If you see somebody jumping up and down on the second floor of the White House, that’s me rebounding.”

The lymph waits, elegant and ignored, ready to be flushed.

PS Back in the 1980’s Phylipa developed the PT Bouncer, insisting on 6 legs rather than 5 (for better stability),and stronger springs to hold the mat in place,. Because of its quality, It quickly became the industry standard. We still use ours today. The PT Bouncer is now available through Supertramp Trampolines – https://supertramp.co.uk/

About water……..the man who was said to have coined the 8 glasses a day remedy did n’t say that!!!………..cant remember the exact method but it was something like taking your weight or height and dividing it to find out how much water you need……………In TCM (as you know) says only drink when thirsty as it will work the kidneys………..I worked with teachers who carried around a bottle of water and drank all day because of the water theory…………
My grandmother never drank water and was never sick….she lived into her 90’s……..
If I drink as much water as they are saying I have to be near a toilet (at my age)…………………dont pee much at night as i take a honey drink which absorbs water………..my teacher said if you drink too much water you ill fill your stomach and maybe cause vomiting………I dont go with it at all…propaganda to weaken us
